MedtecLIVE with T4M
for the first time with partner region: Ireland
When the medical technology trade fair MedtecLIVE with T4M opens its doors in Nuremberg from 23-25 May, the focus will be on one European medical technology market in particular: Ireland. The green island at the north-western tip of Europe is the partner region of MedtecLIVE with T4M 2023.
Ireland is not only considered the world's largest exporter of contact lenses or stents. Of the ten largest medtech companies in the world, nine have branches on the island. "We are very pleased to network with Irish suppliers and look forward to offering this highly interesting market a platform for the first time as the event's partner country," says Christopher Boss, Executive Director MedtecLIVE at NürnbergMesse.

"The market is not only fascinating for suppliers and manufacturers, Ireland is now also considered a sought-after destination for investors in the healthcare industry."
"Enterprise Ireland is delighted to be the partner country of MedtecLIVE 2023. Our organisation and Irish companies are using this opportunity to showcase Ireland as an innovative medtech partner. We hope to explore synergies with research institutions and companies and initiate partnerships over the three days of the show. Ireland is one of the top five medtech hubs in the world. The reason for this is the ecosystem that has formed around major international companies. From academia to highly specialised suppliers, the industry in Ireland is the largest employer in Europe per capita," says Nicol Hoppe, Market Adviser Life Sciences at the state-owned economic development agency Enterprise Ireland, and emphasises: "Irish companies are valuable business partners because of their reliability and their ability to flexibly adapt to changing situations."
Ireland at
the MedtecSUMMIT
An Irish delegation with company and embassy representatives will visit MedtecLIVE with T4M. And Ireland will also be a topic at MedtecSUMMIT: "It is precisely with regard to the challenges of medical device regulation that the medtech-strong locations of Ireland, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg are most affected. We are therefore very pleased to be organising the session on regulation at MedtecSUMMIT together with the partner country Ireland, including Sinead Keogh, Director Medtech & Engineering at Ibec, in order to create visibility at EU level and to discuss important topics for the EU," says Dr. Jörg Traub, Business Unit Manager Health at Bayern Innovativ.
