MEDICA Education Conference 2015:
Medical Technologies in the Spotlight - Four Days, Four Key Topics
From 16 to 19 November 2015, the MEDICA EDUCATION CONFERENCE is taking place in Düsseldorf as an integral part of the programme of the world's largest medical trade fair MEDICA. The conference will by organised as joint effort by the German Society for Internal Medicine (DGIM) and Messe Düsseldorf. It has been devised for all medical subjects as well as for representatives from the fields of science and industry.
This year, the MEDICA EDUCATION CONFERENCE will be offering a unique interdisciplinary examination of medical topics as well as an even stronger focus on innovations from the field of medical technology.
Being held parallel to the world's leading medical technology trade fair MEDICA with around 4,800 exhibitors, it enables an optimal informational exchange between physicians, scientists and industry representatives. Numerous international and national speakers will provide participants with an interdisciplinary view.
Of the four days the MEDICA EDUCATION CONFERENCE will be taking place, each individual day is going to be dedicated to a specific topic:
• Surgery and New Surgical Techniques (16 November 2015)
• Imaging, Endoscopy and Interventions (17 November 2015)
• Geriatrics, Palliative and Nutritional Medicine (18 November 2015)
• Infectiology, Inflammation and Laboratory Medicine (19 November 2015)
Placing these emphases makes it easier for day guests to selectively participate in the conference. As was the case already in the previous year, the day admission ticket for the MEDICA EDUCATION CONFERENCE is also valid for visiting MEDICA.
As of this year MEDICA and COMPAMED, the leading international trade fair for suppliers of the medical technology industry being held at the same time, are always going to take place in November from Monday to Thursday in Düsseldorf. The concentration on "normal" week and working days from Monday to Thursday (instead of from Wednesday to Saturday as before) will in future make for an even better distribution of the trade audience on all four days and a more uniform utilization of exhibitors' presentations and their infrastructure.
