European Coatings Show
and Congress Break New Records
The European Coatings SHOW - the world's spangest trade fair for the paint and varnishes industry - takes place from 21 to 23 April 2015. With 1,025 international exhibitors (962 in 2013), the show has grown yet again and will focus on the manufacture of varnishes, paints, sealing compounds, construction chemicals and adhesives. The event brings together all the major industry players and specialists as well as numerous German and international start-ups.
In seven exhibition halls, trade visitors will find all the global industry trends in raw materials and services as well as testing, measuring, laboratory and production technology. In addition to the SHOW, the 144 lectures at the two-day European Coatings CONGRESS provide specialist knowhow to developers and engineers. The congress started on 20 April.
Two out of three exhibitors from abroad
Not only does the list of exhibitors for the European Coatings SHOW 2015 read like a who's who of the paint and coatings industry, it is more international than ever: two out of three exhibitors are travelling to Nuremberg from outside Germany and include many companies that are using this industry gathering to gain a foothold in the European market. Trade visitors can look forward to exhibitors from a total of 42 countries. There are 343 exhibitors from Germany, while China's 187 exhibiting companies represent the next largest contingent. The show also features a China pavilion where Chinese companies are joining together to showcase their products. Next in line are Italy (64 exhibitors), the Netherlands (54) and the UK (53). There have been significant increases in participation rates from India (+39%), Turkey (+31%), Spain (+29%) and Italy (+26%).
The European Coatings CONGRESS, which has an equally international flavour, provides a wealth of specialist knowhow.
The 24 lecture series comprising 144 presentations focus on topical industry issues like sustainable manufacturing, functional coatings or the use of nanotechnology. Around 700 participants from all over the world are expected to attend.
Hot topics: innovative strength
and environmental compatibility
Innovative product characteristics and environmentally compatible formulations are among the key challenges currently faced by developers of paint, varnish and coatings. In three exhibition halls (Halls 1, 3 and 5), representatives of the exhibiting companies will explore these and other trends in 15-minute product presentations covering the entire range of technologies showcased in Nuremberg and designed to provide an overview of the development status quo.
Innovation Slam: battling it out for the ECS Innovation Award
Contestants in the Innovation Slam have just 180 seconds to win over their audience of industry professionals. In an actual boxing ring, exhibitors will compete against one another to present their innovative products and win over the audience. The aim is to acquire points round by round.
