MOTEK and BondExpo
Headed for More Than 1000 Exhibitors!
The Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly and the Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology are casting their shadows in advance for the fall of 2017.
At the same time, private trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG will take advantage of the opportunity to further advance the strategic alignment of the Motek and Bondexpo trade fairs. Exhibitors and expert visitors profit alike from the infrastructure improvements at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre and ongoing strategic development. On the one hand because the early-morning visitor rush will be smoothed out and, on the other hand, because the expert visitors will enjoy shorter distances for time-optimised visit planning and less legwork.
Beyond this, a cautious adaptation of the exhibition structure will also be implemented this year in close cooperation with the newly formed exhibitor advisory committee, in order to effectively do justice to the changing standpoint of the expert visitors with regard to information gathering. Longstanding Motek and Bondexpo project manager Rainer Bachert explains: "Along with the implementation of strategic further development of Motek und Bondexpo in the fall of 2017, we'll also launch thematic structuring of the available halls, namely 3, 5 and 7, as well as 4, 6 and 8. We'll take advantage of the block-like arrangement of the two rows of even and odd-numbered halls for our so-called modular sub-sorting concept, i.e. three or four thematic groupings will be concentrated in each hall in the future and presented to the expert visitors as a specialised industrial exhibition."
As opposed to the previously intentional mixed arrangement, this clear-cut structuring provides an overview in a compact format, and at the same time perfectly matched information offerings. This also accommodates the individual interests of the expert visitors because, according to dependable surveys, they don't spend any more than six hours a day at a trade fair. Faster and more targeted orientation of the expert visitors, which is incidentally also supported by planning based on the printed and online versions of the special trade fair guide as well as the Motek app and Internet news, provides the exhibitors with additional high-quality leads, making it possible for them to concentrate to a greater extent on concrete user queries. For the event in the fall of 2017 with the new hall layout, thematic structuring will be introduced initially in halls 5 and 6 covering the focal issues of "turnkey assembly systems" plus "screwing and fastening technology" (hall 5), as well as "turnkey assembly systems" plus "joining/bonding technology" (hall 6).
Thematic structuring of further halls will be continued successively in the years to come and will be matched to the trends which become apparent within the market. The core target groups for Motek and Bondexpo are, and will remain, planners, buyers and project managers for production and assembly automation on the one hand, as well as design engineers and machinery and equipment manufacturers as hands-on implementers of automation solutions in production and assembly on the other hand!
