In the Fast Lane with
Industrial Image Processing
The VDMA made the following announcement in February: "Industrial image processing is still in the fast lane." The fact that visual diagnostics and analysis tools are in great demand will also be demonstrated at the control international trade fair for quality assurance at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 24th through the 27th of April.
Steady Growth for
the Image Processing Industry
Sales figures in the image processing industry went through the roof in 2017. The upswing in comparison with the previous year amounted to 18%. Double-digit growth is being forecast once again this year. The reason for the increasing popularity of this key technology is its ability to integrate visual processes into any production sequence in an uncomplicated manner. QA processes with image processing support high-tech companies in analysing their manufacturing processes. At the same time, industrial image processing is penetrating new applications to an ever greater extent. A further growth driver, according to the VDMA, is digitalisation. The companies exhibiting at the leading trade fair for quality assurance would surely make even more ambitious claims: Comprehensive process automation would not be possible at all without fully integrated, digital QA solutions. At the same time, inline quality assurance and embedded vision are dramatically advancing the quality of components, modules, medical devices and motor vehicles.
Control Exhibits Worldwide Offerings
for QA Technology and Accessories
The trade fair not only excels in the field of Quality 4.0. As the world's most important QA trade fair, Control is unique thanks to its global offerings covering components, modules, subsystems and complete solutions for quality assurance.
Booming segments such as computer-aided systems and optoelectronic sensor technology will be on hand in addition to industrial image processing, and will present highly practical applications. Numerous manufacturers and suppliers unveil their world's firsts to the demanding expert visitors at the event.
Growing Along with the World of QA
Interest in the world's leading trade fair for quality assurance is increasing to the same extent as revenues generated with QA technology. The trade fair promoted by P.E. Schall GmbH & Co KG has been boosting its visitor numbers for years.
The expert visitors come from ever more distant places and travel many thousands of miles in order to gather information about up-to-date technologies in Stuttgart.
In order to do justice to this onslaught, project manager Fabian Krüger added exhibition hall 8 to the floor plan this year. And thus more than 645,000 square feet of floor space will be available for this highly popular trade fair.
as Additional Visitor Magnet
The world-class supplementary program is in no way inferior to the technical innovations - for example thanks to the Vision Talks held by the EMVA, as well as the Fraunhofer IPA with its Event Forum. And this is further augmented with offerings presented by the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance as a further collaboration partner with its special show for Contactless Measuring Technology. The DGQ is also amongst the players with its workshops.
