GrindTec 2018 -
New Exhibitor Record in Sight
Augsburg - Already now it is becoming obvious that the all-time highs that the previous GrindTec had achieved could soon be surpassed. With 577 exhibitors, 17,950 visitors and 42.000m² exhibition ground the GrindTec 2016 was by far the most successful one up to this point. For 2018, the GrindTec organizer AFAG is aiming towards 600 participating businesses. In view of the dynamic development of this leading platform for the grinding technology this objective is certainly not unrealistic.
A temporary exhibition hall with a size of approximately 1,500 m², the pavilion, will accommodate the expected increase of required space. This hall will be perfectly integrated into the round tour for the visitors by just one single passage from Hall 3.
Almost all the leading machine manufacturers already registered, some of them even significantly increasing the size of their exhibition stands. The organizer AFAG notices a steadily increasing interest of Asian exhibitors in participating in this international "obligatory event" for the trade. Above all suppliers of grinding technology from China and Japan are looking for access to the world market in Augsburg. Additionally, top ranking visitor delegations have already registered from both countries.
The Layout Planning of
the Exhibition Stands is Ongoing -
Still Available Space is Becoming Scarce
The layout planning of the exhibition halls has started considerably earlier than during previous exhibitions this time. Other than during earlier events the planning of the exhibition halls has already started in May because of the high number of registrations. The project management of the GrindTec recommends that interested businesses should register as soon as possible because otherwise it may happen that the desired location of the stand can no longer be considered. The registration documents are available as download on the homepage of the GrindTec: www.grindtec.de
The Traffic Connection Has Been Optimized
The parking spaces of the nearby stadium are available for visitors arriving by car. The improvement of the B17, which now has two lanes between the WWK Arena and the Messe Augsburg, should have a positive effect in this connection.
Even during the morning rush hour, the shuttle buses should require no more than five minutes to bring the visitors of the GrindTec to the entrances of the exhibition ground. Apart from this the number and frequency of shuttle buses will be increased in 2018 so that the waiting time should hardly be more than 10 minutes.
Inclusion of the WWK Arena has proofed to be very positive during the last GrindTec. A lot of favourable comments were received from the 500 participants in the exhibitors' night "A Night at the Arena" which was relocated to the exclusive business area of the stadium. The exhibitors' night will again take place at this location in 2018.
