"Reed Exhibitions is the perfect trade fair partner for our industry", GDA Managing Director Christian Wellner said at the signing ceremony. Since its premiere in 1997 held at the initiative of GDA, ALUMINIUM has developed into one of Europe's most successful industrial trade fairs. Last year the trade fair, which took place in Düsseldorf for the first time after having moved there from Essen, again recorded significant growth and emphasized its position as a leading global trade fair with 961 exhibitors (+10%) and 21,300 visitors (+23%).
"Our cooperation with GDA is a success story, deriving its strength from mutual trust and esteem", said Hans-Joachim Erbel, CEO of Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH. Launched 15 years ago, the event has meanwhile also taken a dynamic development on the international level - with ALUMINIUM trade fairs in Shanghai, Dubai, Mumbai and Sao Paolo.
