Control 2018:
Business Platform with Growth Push
Measuring technology, materials testing, analysis equipment, optoelectronics, QA systems and services - the last Control international trade fair for quality assurance in the spring of 2017 successfully set the scene for the 31st time with this portfolio of products and services which is aligned strictly to industrial practice. 565,000 square feet of overall exhibition floor space, more than 900 exhibitors from 31 countries, just under 30,000 expert visitors from 106 nations and growth amounting to roughly 10% in all exhibition segments - this is now the benchmark for the 32nd Control which will be held at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 24th through 27th of April, 2018.
The prospects are good for strong growth once again, which is made apparent by the words of longstanding Control project manager Gitta Schlaak: "More than five months before the trade fair opens we can report a booking level of greater than 90% of the results achieved for exhibitor numbers and exhibition floor space at the event in 2017.
And this makes us confident that we'll be able to top the figures from 2017 - especially in light of the fact that we'll occupy exhibition hall 8 for the first time at Control 2018, so that the world's leading trade fair for quality assurance will have more than 645,000 square feet of exhibition floor space at its disposal. Floor space allocation is already running at full bore because new and considerably improved conditions will prevail for exhibitors as well as expert visitors at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre for the event in 2018."
World-Class Quality Assurance Now in Six Exhibition Halls!
New exhibition hall 10 which will be available as of January 2018, associated new construction of the West entrance area and accompanying infrastructure measures involving, for example, access roads, parking spaces, seminar rooms, utility rooms and restaurant result in a new layout which not least of all will provide for a smoother admission process in the morning hours. In the future, the East and West entrance areas will have equal status so that the stream of visitors will be more uniformly distributed, which will relieves the situation in the entrance areas and permit the exhibitors to better plan capacity for booth and support personnel.
Beyond this, Control's exhibition hall layout will become even more visitor-friendly because halls 3, 5 and 7 (odd-numbered row), as well as 4, 6 and 8 (even-numbered row), are now arranged in a "block-like" fashion. This results in short distances between the individual exhibition segments, which in turn permits targeted visit planning and a time-optimised trade fair tour.
The information and communication offerings presented at Control 2018 will be rounded out once again by the great commitment of time-tested collaboration partners including the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance and Fraunhofer IPA, as well as the popular exhibitor forum which is distinguished by world-class speakers, and finally by the 11th conferment of the Baden-Württemberg Award for Competence in Innovation and Quality initiated and presented by private trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG and the TQU-GROUP, and sponsored by the Steinbeis Foundation for Economic Promotion.
