Business and Showtime in Quality Assurance
Industry meeting place as information, communication, business, and event platform - the Control international trade fair for quality assurance offers all of this and more to the wide world of QA! Taking place for the 28th time in 2014 as the world's leading QA event, Control is once again in top shape and is distinguished by strong growth rates for exhibition floor space, as well as domestic and foreign exhibitor numbers. Where technologies, processes, products and systems are concerned, significant growth is apparent above all in the areas of image processing and vision systems, as well as test equipment for automotive components and assemblies. Control project manager Gitta Schlaak recently made the following statement in this respect: "In light of the fact that process orientation is sustaining its advance, and since some events which might be considered competition for Control, although in some cases to a limited extent only, are demonstrating signs of weakness, manufacturers and distributors who are active in the market are looking for, as it were, a safe harbour. Due to the fact that we've always had adequate expertise in the fields of image processing and vision systems, it was a logical consequence for numerous manufacturers and distributors to turn to Control - a situation with which we are naturally quite pleased."
The same applies to manufacturers and distributors of end-of-the-line test systems for mass produced modules from the automotive and consumer goods industries, who nowadays are required to become involved with all aspects of inline quality assurance. Due to the bare necessity of understanding the complex subject matter of quality assurance as an overriding key function within the company, end-of-the-line test systems can no longer be viewed as more or less isolated units, and must be integrated into production strategies right from the very start. Control provides precisely the setting required to this end - from QA technologies and processes, as well as products and assemblies, right on up to the presentation of complete system solutions.
28th Control on Course
for Collaboration with its Partners
However, the Control international trade fair for quality assurance sees itself as a high-performance, reliable partner not only to manufacturers and distributors of QA products covering both hardware and software, but rather to other relevant players as well. This is substantiated by numerous collaborations, some of which are quite longstanding, for example with the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance (Erlangen) at the annual special show for "Contactless Measuring Technology" and the Event Forum (Fraunhofer IPA Stuttgart), as well as conceptual sponsors including the DGQ (German Society for Quality in Frankfurt) with their highly popular workshops. The Baden-Württemberg Award for Competence in Innovation and Quality (TQU Group, Ulm), which will be presented for the 7th time in 2014 at Control, as well as the brand new "Networking is Quality theme park held by the Mechatronics Network BW (Göppingen) and the Vision Academy (Erfurt), could be mentioned in this respect as well.
