Program now available
The program for this year's International AVK Conference on Fibre Reinforced Plastics/Composites, which will take place at the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart from 16-17 September 2013 is now available. As always, the event's participants can look forward to a compact event featuring two series of presentations with high calibre speakers, who will provide an overview of all the currently relevant topics in the composites market.
Lightweight applications, incl. those in the automotive and aerospace sectors, high performance sport and boatbuilding, illustrate the enormous possibilities offered by fibre reinforced plastics/composites. Presentations on developments in the European and global composites markets will highlight the current growth in the GRP and CRP markets. Scientific experts will present their latest findings in the fibre composites sector in a series of lectures entitled "Research for practical applications".
The presentation of this year's AVK Innovation Award on the evening of the first day of the conference and the subsequent Composites Night (the "AVK get-together") provide both excitement and plenty of opportunity for conversation.
The conference will close with a panel discussion entitled "Composites - Materials Caught Between Dream and Reality", during which experts will discuss the wide variety of composite materials available and their possible applications.
The AVK Conference is, as usual, the opening event at the COMPOSITES EUROPE trade fair, which will take place on 16 - 17 September 2013. The HYBRID Expo fair will be held parallel to COMPOSITES EUROPE this year.
The AVK represents the interests of the German Composites Industry and it is in this capacity that it has made the AVK conference the most important branch meeting place for all of the participants in the composites value added chain over recent decades.
