Around 1,000 guests are expected to attend. The Expert Conference for Future Energies, which the EnergyAgency.NRW has been holding since 1996, has to date attracted the enthusiastic attention of about 15,000 innovative energy users and has enjoyed the accompanying support of around 20 ministers and state secretaries from Düsseldorf and Berlin.
Having moved from the Science Park in Gelsenkirchen to Zeche Zollverein in Essen and then to the Palladium in Cologne, this Expert Conference found its permanent home in the Messe Essen Conference Centre at "E-World's" inaugural session on 8 February 2000. The North Rhine-Westphalian Climate Protection Minister, Johannes Remmel, will open it with a speech on "Climate Protection Region North Rhine-Westphalia". He will be followed by the NRW Economics Minister, Garrelt Duin, who will talk about recent developments of the State´s Energy Politics. In the afternoon from 2 p.m. there will be five parallel forums. These will deal with the significance of virtual power plants, business opportunities in international energy markets and the role of heat in the integrated power and energy market. Other themes are: Will municipalities and citizens be regarded more as customers, partners, investors or competitors, and what impulses will be given to the conventional energy economy?
From 16th to 18th February 2016 the "E-world energy & water" will for the 16th time act as a meeting point for the international energy industry. The EnergyAgency.NRW will be present at this leading European trade fair for the energy and water resources industry. On the stand of the North Rhine-Westphalian Climate Protection and Environment Ministry in Hall 3, Stand 370 the EnergyAgency.NRW will be presenting its portfolio together with the Clusters EnergyRegion.NRW and EnergyResearch.NRW. Under the heading "Climate Protection - Made in NRW" about 20 companies and research institutions will in addition be exhibiting key technologies for the Energiewende, the Energy Turnaround.
The North Rhine-Westphalian Evening with live music will provide an opportunity for everybody to wind down in an entertaining atmosphere on the NRW stand in Hall 3 from 6 p.m. on 16 February.
