Optatec 2014 -
There's Only One Industry Meeting Place for Optical Technologies!
Whereas the areas of solar technology and photovoltaics are still in a downward trend in the field of optical technologies, which is resulting in further collaborations, take-overs and insolvencies, other optical technology sectors are experiencing a minor boom.
Accordingly, the prospects for the Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems, taking place at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from 20 through 22 May 2014, couldn't be better - which is currently expressing itself in comparably large numbers of registrations and bookings.
And thus the 12th Optatec is achieving higher levels than expected, which can be traced back not least to the great significance placed on the unadulterated technical event for the industry sector and its global establishment as the most important information, communication, procurement and business platform for R&D, production, use and services for the optical technologies.
Beyond this, the "innovative photonics tool" is enjoying growing interest, for example in applications in industry segments which have gone unnoticed to date, and which go well beyond the traditional range of applications for photonics such as data transmission in the fields of information and communications technology. German interest groups including Spectaris, VDMA und ZVEI have named the following ten sectors as core target groups for expanded use of optical technologies in the form of photonics: materials processing and production technology, information and communication technology, displays and illumination, image processing and measuring technology, optical components and systems, medical engineering and life sciences, as well as security and defence technology.
Offerings for these core target groups, many of which have yet not been identified as approachable markets by numerous players from the industry sector, are presented in a comprehensive fashion at the Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems!
The event will once again be supplemented with workshops, forums and industry highlights, for example the CEO Round Table and the Analysts' Conference, thus assuring well-rounded trade fair offerings for exhibitors as well as expert visitors from all over the world.
