SPS IPC Drives 2017:
New Hall to Open at Europe's Leading Exhibition for Electric Automation
SPS IPC Drives is expanding its exhibition offering this year by opening a new hall. From 28-30 November 2017, trade visitors can discover the latest products and solutions from the field of electric automation for the first time in 16 halls.
The level of growth has led to topics of focus being reorganized in certain halls. Hall 6 will in future focus entirely on the theme of Software & IT in manufacturing. Due to the digital industry's strong response to the software offering, the theme of Mechanical Infrastructure, previously represented in Hall 6, will in future be located together with industrial communication providers in Hall 2 and in the newly added Hall 10.1.
Christian Hohnen, Head of Marketing at TKD KABEL GmbH, believes the reorganization will open up significant opportunities for his company:
"From an exhibitor's perspective, SPS IPC Drives is an excellent exhibition for showcasing our product solutions and interacting with customers, interested parties, partners, and journalists. The growing internationality makes the exhibition particular interesting for us as a globally represented company.
This year we look forward to the reorganized Hall 2 and hope that here, too, we can impress with our product innovations and receive interesting feedback and impulses."
The two levels of Hall 10 - 10.0 and the new level 10.1 - feature the well-matched exhibition themes of Control Technology, Interface Technology, Mechanical Infrastructure, and Industrial Communication.
Worth mentioning is a joint statement from industrial communication exhibitors from Hall 2, Hall 10.0 and Hall 10.1:
"The industrial communication sector, driven by Industrie 4.0, will present among other things the latest innovations in the area of OPC UA and TSN. With the help of simple and standardized access to data and devices in the field, concepts such as cloud-based applications or even predictive maintenance are possible."
The industrial communication exhibitors all agree that a visit to the reorganized Hall 2 and Hall 10.1 is a must, in order to learn about the latest trends in technology. They also point out that collaboration between control system suppliers, IT industry, and communication is the driving factor for the future of Industrie 4.0.
