Maria Kofidou to Become New Sales Director
Selling events - that's the world she works in, the world she loves. For more than 18 years, she's successfully promoted trade fairs, conferences and meetings, most recently as the sales and marketing director for a major German media company. Now Maria Kofidou (47) is joining Reed Exhibitions Deutschland, where on 15 September she'll become the new director of sales.

Moreover, her mentality and way of thinking should contribute to her feeling at home quickly on the Reed Exhibitions team. That's because the business economist's previous job was also for a publically traded British trade fair company - Informa Group, which among other holdings owns the 100% subsidiary EUROFORUM in Germany.

Since joining the company in 1996, Maria Kofidou has worked to establish the sales and marketing system of the Düsseldorf-based subsidiary, which is the exclusive event partner for prestigious publications such as Wirtschaftswoche and Handelsblatt. Most recently, as a member of the executive team, she was in charge of all sales activities in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region. Among her focus areas were the automotive, IT, telecom and life sciences industries.
One of her priorities was the development and commercialisation of new customer-oriented products and services, which Hans-Joachim Erbel identifies as "a source of revenue whose significance will continue to grow for Reed Exhibitions Deutschland, as well".
