Opatatec 2016:
Hall 3.0 in Frankfurt is Optatec Territory!
With hall 3 of the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre fully occupied by roughly 540 exhibitors from 31 countries, the 13th Optatec (Hall plan, Optatec 2016) will open its doors very soon! Manufacturers and distributors of optical technologies, components and systems will present current worldwide offerings on 194,000 square feet of overall exhibition floor space from the 7th through the 9th of June, 2016.
But exhibiting and demonstrating hardware and software products and services is only part of the globally recognised community and business meet because, not least of all, the Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems also provides an adequate setting for an extensive information and communication platform which is above all characterised by forums, presentations and workshops with world-class speakers.

Whether the workshop on current developments concerning DIN ISO 10110, the stakeholders meeting held by Spectaris regarding the issues of RoHS, REACH and conflict resources, the technology park on "Training and Research - Study Photonics" offered by five universities, the Start-Up Challenge organised by OptecNet, the Optence Innovations Forum or the Optence Short Course on fibres and fibre-optic busses offering an overview and dealing with materials as well as characteristic quantities and their measurement is concerned - added value for all involved parties who work with optical technologies and their industrial applications is always at the centre of attention.
Industry players in the field of optical technologies have also always had a special interest in "promotion of young talent powered by Schall". This results from the strong commitment of the five universities and other speakers. Furthermore, numerous exhibitors function as patrons for pupils and students who participate in the technology-oriented tour and delve deeply into the world of optical technologies.
The great interest demonstrated by foreign manufacturers and distributors from more than 31 countries is representative of a new dimension of internationalism at Optatec 2016 (Hall plan, Optatec 2016), which will be additionally underscored by the more than 5500 expert visitors expected from an anticipated 42 countries. This success is all the more impressive in an events market which is currently becoming fragmented, and which is primarily aligned to laser machining applications, because there can be no doubt that optical technologies are "more than just laser" - a fact which visitors will be able to experience at the 13th Optatec on the basis of numerous new applications.
