"Grinding Technology 4.0" at the GrindTec 2016
Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory have now made their place in serial manufacturing. But the question remains whether the digitalisation of the processes is of any use to workshop-oriented grinding technology? The Theme Park "Grinding Technology 4.0", carried out by AFAG and FDPW together with the Konradin media group will be answering this question.
At an attractive collective stand in the newly built Hall 4 well-known technology leaders will present their digitalisation solutions for the workshop floor. At the attached Forum they will be reporting in the form of professional lectures on cost-benefit relations,
interfaces, conditions for implementation etc. Different solution strategies will be linked up together to achieve the best possible result, which can lead to new ways of thinking and new ways of finding solutions for problems encountered. Thus the visitor can find everything that will increase his competitiveness and his processes in concentrated form at the Theme Park.

Competition held for the sixth time in Augsburg
Together with the Vollmer Werke GmbH the trade journal for metal engineering "fertigung" will be looking for the "Tool-grinder of the year 2016". In addition to a high level of technical competence and manual ability, we are looking for an eye for economical practicality.
The competition is divided into two parts and begins with the theoretical part. The documentation will be available from September. Anyone interested in participating can already pre-register at www.fertigung.de under "Tool-grinder of the year". The five best participants from the theoretical part will compete on 17th March 2016 at the GrindTec at the competition "One against all and all against the clock".
